Maryland Assembly is Back in Session
UPDATE: Hand In Hand has reviewed over 815 pieces of legislation introduced into the
Maryland Assembly for the current session, so far. Find out what changes may affect the cost of college education
for homeschool chidren as well as graduation requirements, if your child returns to public school. We've even included something
fun for teens... a bill that's all about text messaging.
Hand In Hand is the only inclusive homeschool advocacy group in the state of Maryland that provides
regular updates on legal issues relating to homeschooling.
Check our legal section often between January and April and stay informed of bills that may affect your right to homeschool
in Maryland.

Unschooling Reading Tuesdays, April 28 - May 19, 2009
6:45 - 9:45pm
This course taught at Howard Community College provides an overview of the best practices for teaching
reading in preschool-age through school age children. Topics are designed especially for parents to
provide techniques and games that support the process of learning to read when you're not using a
formal curriculum. The class is being taught by a former homeschooling parent.
