Alessa has homeschooled her two children since Kindergarten. Her oldest son will be entering full-time college in Fall 2008 and her
younger son will soon be entering high school. She has embraced a child led learning approach with an emphasis on

In addition to consulting and homeschooling, Alessa has published over 60 articles and project
based curricular activities for children and parents. Her work has appeared in national
publications such as The Mailbox, Pack-O-Fun, Friends Journal, Boys Quest and numerous
