Jennifer Damashek
Educational Consultant

Jennifer has been homeschooling her two children for 16 years, with one now in college and her second just beginning high school. With degrees in Biology and Psychology from the University of New Brunswick, as well as a certification in the Barton System and specialized training by the Dyslexia Training Institute, Jennifer is uniquely qualified to help families create individualized learning plans and to assist in reviewing families for proof of progress in their children's learning.

As a from-birth homeschool advocate, Jennifer believes the best education is one that is unique to each child, designed with the child's special interests and abilities in mind. Knowing that loving parents are best suited to facilitate their children's development, Jennifer has long championed for families to gain the knowledge and skills they need in order to be the best homeschool parent possible.

Through her volunteer work as a coach for Destination Imagination and VEX Robotics, Jennifer realized she also enjoys working directly with children. She loves the thrill of watching children develop new skills, and the blossoming of self-esteem that comes with mastering those skills. She brings that passion to life with her 1-on-1 Barton tutoring services.

While Jennifer works with many different families, she focuses on:

  • Families new to homeschooling
  • Struggling readers
  • Gifted children, with a special focus on profoundly gifted
  • K-8 STEM interests and educational planning
