Art Contests

  • Creative Karuta Award
    Students can submit art & writing works of their favorite scenes/objects in their home/chosen country, featured on Karuta, a traditional Japanese playing card.
    Grades: All

  • Duct Tape Formalwear for Scholarship
    An annual contest in which contestants make prom outfits using duct tape and submit the pictures online to be judged for the best creation. The three best submissions will be awarded a scholarship award.
    Age: 14 or older

  • Global Canvas Children’s Art Competition
    The annual DSWF Global Canvas Art Competition encourages young people to express their concern for the environment through art.

  • Next Vista Creative Fire 2017 Video Contest
    Put a little creativity into a 90-second video teaching any concept one might encounter in grades K-12.

  • NOAA Marine Debris Program Art Contest
    The NOAA Marine Debris Program raises awareness about the global problem of marine debris by featuring original student artwork in their annual Marine Debris Program calendar.

  • Youth Wildlife Art Contest
    This annual contest asks contestants to submit art of a legally hunted animal from North America. There are prizes for the first, second, and third place submissions. Sponsored by the National Rifle Association. NRA membership is not required.
